so many things to celebrate today

First and foremost congrats to Jennifer and Ryan who gave birth (well Jenn) to a beautiful 7lb 8oz baby girl at 1:30p.m. today! After some pretty intense labor and a virtually natural birth, Jenn is doing wonderful and recovering well. (With the help of lettuce wraps and spicy chicken from P.F. Changs!) I was so proud of Ryan and Jenn! They will be wonderful parents, again, to Mercy Millard! I am so grateful to Christy for taking Madi all day (literally 8am-6:30pm) so that I could be there to support Ryan and Jennifer!

On another wonderful note, Madi is 3 months old today. This makes Mercy and Madi officially 3months apart! I cannot wait to see them grow as best friends. May the spirit of community that we have with Ryan and Jenn and their beautiful children reside in our children as they grow and mature together.  Here are some pictures to capture our day!

The past week

HAS BEEN CRAZYYYY!!!

The past week has been nuts and crazy! This past weekend was my first time to watch Madi by myself and man was it challenging. I am so thankful for my husband and that he is able to come home and be a set of helping hands! He spent the weekend working at Merge, a youth event put on by our church. Saturday we celebrated Mason's 3rd Birthday! I cannot believe that it has been 3 years! Man, time flies! After the wonderful celebration at Chick-fil-a, I headed to Nashville to have lunch with some good friends, Brittany and Elizabeth! Other than that the week has been pretty average! Nothing too exciting to document!

Oh, and I also went a little camera crazy today while Madi was sitting in the Bumbo...

Wednesday=friends!

Wednesday was a big day for me and Madi! She has discovered TV- Baby Einstein to be exact and she LOVES it. She just stares so wide eyed at the screen and watches all the bright characters move back and forth. I think this kind of stimulation is really good for her and will help her learn in the furture! Thank you Nanny for the gift! After our morning routine, Madi and I hung out with Mrs. Jenn and Kim at Chick-fil-a for lunch and then we headed to dad's office to hang out a bit! We had great conversation and laughed a ton- I even fell asleep on Mrs. Kim for over an hour!

A video to share...

oh my little Pearl

Just a few pictures to capture my little bundle of joy, Madi Pearl!

In case you are wondering, this is one of Mason's birthday gifts. However, until we give it to him this Saturday it has been a life saver in my attempts to get Madi to stop crying. She apparently was having a rough time yesterday, so when she started crying I would shake this and she became wide eyed. Thank you Buzz...you are/were my hero!

I guess this would be an appropriate place to write "to infinity and beyond."

We LOVEEEE Thursdays :)

Here's a re-cap of our Thursday! I love them much more than words can express! So blessed to spend it with the two people that I love the most:)
We had a fantastic steak dinner accompanied by time together with Madi!
